The Golden Globes!

The 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards were handed out last night and the big winner was The Artist, which won three awards - Best Comedy Film; Best Comedy Actor for Jean DuJardin and Best Score. As for Best Actress, Comedy, that award went to Michelle Williams for playing Marilyn Monroe in My Week with Marilyn. On the Drama side, The Descendants picked up two awards - Best Film and Best Actor for George Clooney (who had a particularly funny acceptance speech with regards to Michael Fassbender’s full frontal nudity in Shame). The always amazing Meryl Streep took home yet another award, this time Best Actress for playing Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady. Other movie winners included: Christopher Plummer, Best Supporting Actor, Beginners; Octavia Spencer, Best Supporting Actress, The Help; Martin Scorsese, Best Director, Hugo; The Adventures of Tintin, Best Animated Feature; Woody Allen, Best Screenplay, Midnight in Paris and Madonna who won Best Original Song for “Masterpiece,” from her flick W.E.
