Security for Chaz

Chaz Bono might not be safe from the Dancing With the Stars judges, but he will be safe from any "crazies" on and off the set.

ABC is providing security for Chaz. Though no specific threats have been made against the show's first transgendered contestant, TMZ says execs "know there's an element of hatred out there and they feel it's necessary to block Chaz from harm."

The show also provided security for Bristol Palin after an anthrax scare last year.
