The President will address the nation tonight about the war in Afghanistan.
Today, Obama will travel to West Point, New York, to announce his decision on a request by McChrystal for up to 40,000 additional troops. This touches very close to home for many of us as our family members in the military could be the ones called up. My daughter in the Army Reserves still has 3 years to serve, she could easily be on the list to go. Obama is expected to send more than 30,000 U.S. troops and seek further troop commitments from NATO allies as part of a counterinsurgency strategy to wipe out al Qaeda elements and stabilize the country while training Afghan forces. Tune in tonight and click here for more.
