Good news from the American Red Cross - the shelter at Central High School will close today at 5pm. All residents have transitioned to alternative housing.
If you need assistance, the Red Cross will begin sending outreach teams into the affected area to meet with those whose homes have been destroyed or severely damaged to assess their needs, provide services and make referrals as necessary. If you are in need of assistance and have not been reached by the Red Cross volunteers, please call 788-1000.
The Red Cross will continue to go through the affected areas providing water, kwik aid and snacks for those involved in the cleanup efforts.
Some clean up materials such as gloves, tarps, rakes, buckets, brooms and more are available at the Red Cross offic at 2927 Losey Blvd.
