"American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi is voting for Harry Connick, Jr., to replace Simon Cowell as her sidekick on the talent show.

The crooner jumped to the top of the favorites list after he mentored the finalists for an episode on the latest season of the show -- and songwriter DioGuardi insists he'd be the perfect for the role.

She says, "The way that he worked with the contestants, he really cared about them. I thought he was really, really great." Cowell quit the show last month and Connick, Jr., Bret Michaels and former "Idol" star Adam Lambert have emerged as frontrunners to take his seat on the judging panel.

They're looking into live ads which could flash Amber Alerts, road conditions and regular ads...I do like the Amber Alerts and road conditions for sure!! It would be sweet justice if whomever did the kidnapping had the alert flashing on their plate that was seen & reported by someone behind them! Here's the story! Vacation!

I am soooo excited to head to the Dells this afternoon with my daughter Morgan and hubby Paul!! New 'Footloose', new star!

Newcomer Kenny Wormald won the role after auditioning against thousands of other hopefuls in a worldwide search. Wormald, a Boston native, appeared in the MTV series "Dancelife" and recently toured with Justin Timberlake. Writer/director Craig Brewer will helm the project that he rewrote after Zac Efron and director Kenny Ortega dropped out of the famed 1980s remake last year. Hmm, he looks the part I think - will you go see it?

Unicorn meat - really?

The National Pork Board says Unicorns don't exist! The industry group says it was only protecting its trademark when it issued cease-and-desist warning to online retailer ThinkGeek for calling a fake unicorn meat product "the new white meat."

The fictional canned meat, described as an "excellent source of sparkles," was an April Fool's prank.

Justin Bieber would be nowhere without his mother, Pattie Mallette: She posted the now-infamous videos of him on YouTube, relocated to Atlanta with him so he could launch his recording career and keeps him grounded with chores and a curfew. R2 is back?

Weighing in at 310 pounds, NASA's newest astronaut is a tad heavier than most spacefarers. And he doesn't have much of a personality.

None, actually.

That's because the soon-to-be seventh member of the International Space Station's crew, R2, is a robot.

And though it may be named R2, with its humanoid appearance this robot looks more like C3P0.

Due to launch in September aboard space shuttle Discovery, R2 is the culmination of more than a decade of development by NASA to produce a robot that could help space station crew members with basic tasks. The station crew will initially experiment with the robot in test mode before allowing it to perform useful tasks.
