"American Idol" lost one of its quirkiest, most original personalities Wednesday night with the elimination of Siobhan Magnus. With her expansive vocal range and theatrical manner, the 20-year-old Massachusetts native had emerged from the semifinal rounds as someone likely to contend for the Season 9 crown, as she garnered early raves from the judges. But in the more recent weeks, Siobhan found the going decidely tougher, as Simon and company frequently criticized her onstage choices. Not surprisingly, the glass-blowing Cape Codder lost considerable confidence and momentum. And with five weeks to go in the contest, that proved fatal. Joining Siobhan in the bottom three this week were Michael Lynche and Casey James. I missed the show, but am surprised that Casey was in the bottom 3...the next couple weeks could get interesting!
