The Milwaukee Brewers hammered the St. Louis Cardinals in the first game of the National League Championship Series yesterday 9-6. The Brewers exploded in the fifth inning, overcoming at three-run deficit and adding three more runs to make the score 8-5.
Ryan Braun led the Brew Crew with four RBIs, including at two-run shot in the first-inning that gave the Brewers at 2-1 lead. He also started the rally in the fifth inning with a ground-rule double, which was followed by a towering Prince Fielder home run. Game Two is set for today.
Last night's Game Two of the American League Championship Series in Texas was rained out. The Rangers took Game One against the Detroit Tigers 3-2, overcoming two rain delays to finally get the job done just after midnight Sunday morning. Game Two is set for today.
