GUYS ARE THROWING BABY SHOWERS
It's a growing trend for guys to throw a "diaper party," which is a male version of a baby shower.
Fathers-to-be invite their friends over for beer drinking, cigar smoking and games in the back yard -- and the friends are each responsible for bringing a package of diapers as a gift.
Also known as dadchelor parties, man showers or daddymoons, diaper parties are a reflection the bigger role that dads now play at home, as fathers today are more involved in day-to-day child care, including diapering, feeding and bathing.
And more men are staying home, while women go to work.
So, as men look ahead and see that they are about to lose their freedom, they throw the parties as one last hurrah before the baby arrives.
