Well, the folks behind Harlequin Romance Novels are trying! They filed a seven-page application, drawings and all, with the U.S. Patent Office, asking that it have domain over the romantic kiss. A rep for Harlequin says, "Kissing is a mundane sign of affection these days. You don't feel the passion that's needed and the chemistry that's involved in a great kiss. That's why we developed our patent application."

Well, the folks behind Harlequin Romance Novels are trying! They filed a seven-page application, drawings and all, with the U.S. Patent Office, asking that it have domain over the romantic kiss.
