Elizabeth Taylor passed away yesterday at the age of 79 and many stars shared their thoughts: Madonna stated: "I am so sorry to hear that this great legend has passed. I admired and respected her not only as an actress but for her amazing and inspiring work as an AIDS activist. She was one of a kind."
Elton John: "We have just lost a Hollywood giand; more importantly, we have lost an incredible human being."
Debbie Reynolds: whose husband Eddie Fisher ran off with Taylor back in the '50's said: "I'm am happy that she's out of her pain, because she was in a lot of pain. This is a blessing in disguise. Elizabeth couldn't be working and doing what she wanted to do, so I'm glad that she's in a better place."
