Presidents Day? What does it mean?

The day was originally designated as Washington's Birthday and the federal holiday was originally implemented by the United States Congress in 1880 for government offices D.C. and expanded in 1885 to include all federal offices. It also was the first federal holiday to honor an American citizen and was celebrated on Washington's actual birthday.
