The Grammy's are Sunday night!
This is musics biggest night!! This Sunday night on CBS at 7pm. You will be entertained for hours....Click here to visit their official website and see who will be performing! "Pants on the Ground" at the Grammy's!
TMZ says The General, Larry Platt, will perform on the red carpet at the Grammy's his original Idol song, "Pants on the Ground"!! How funny is that, he did it as a joke, and now will make millions on appearances, etc! He will have to watch the Grammy's from somewhere else, as he does not have a ticket, but he will be on the Red Carpet right before the show begins.....come on, let him in!!
Sad ending to a lottery winner...
Police are pretty sure the remains they are uncovering are that of a $31 million lotter winner who has been missing since April 2009. He won the money back in 2006 and in 2007 he won a court challenge from a fellow trucker who accused him of stealing the ticket from his wallet when they were delivering a load. Supposedly John and Elizabeth quietly separated before he admitting fathering his love child...sick, just sick. Elizabeth wanted her life back and has had enough. It is official. Avatar is now the highest grossing movie ever! $1.86 billion as of yesterday! Can it earn as many Oscars as Titanic? Nominations are announced Feb. 2nd. Critics are saying "no", it doesn't have the momentum. Click here for more!

Steven Tyler at Home Depot!
This is so cool and I hope it is true. Steven Tyler treated a bunch of shoppers to an impromptu concert at Home Depot by singing snippits of "Dude Looks Like a lady" and "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" over the store's loudspeaker!! He supposedly took a couple hits from a helium tank and sang Bee Gee's style as well - Coolest guy ever or what?
Nancy Kerrigan's father dead, her brother is charged!
How sad is this? Her 45 year old brother Mark, was fighting with their 70 year old father when he fell to the ground. Mark thought his father was 'faking it' during their fist fight when really he had a cardiac arrest. Why would you be fighting with your father, fist fighting at that with him when he is 70 years old. Police say Mark appeared intoxicated and had to be subdued with pepper spray. Read more here!

He didn't even get out of the locker room after Sunday nights game and he was already saying his return to the Vikinigs is highly unlikely next season...he then followed that statement with he will go home, heal and discuss it with his family...which is really all he should have said. Many are sick of him crying wolf.....retire, yes, no -arg! Time will tell!

More survivors found in Haiti!
A man was rescued alive Saturday from the rubble of a hotel 11 days after the earthquake. The 20-something man told his rescuers he survived by drinking soda and beer and eating cookies! Vikings lose.
What a game though. It was a tense, back and forth scoring event that was fun to watch. I ended up missing the OT as the alarm goes off early, so the game ended with the Saints making the winning Field Goal. Final score - 31 to 28. Click here for more details!

Right now it is the Number 2 movie of all time, and is just a couple million dollars away from taking the title. Have you seen Avatar yet? I have not and am excited to see it. There has to be something special there if so many people have seen it!
Little Gary Coleman arrested!
It has been a pretty rocky new year for Gary Coleman of Diff'rent Strokes. He was arrested on one misdemeanor count on domestic assault and is being currently being held on $1725 bail in Utah. Police would not identify the victim. Click here for more.

American Idol - yea more freakish auditions!
Chicago sure didn't shine last night...only 13 contestants will move on to Hollywood on American Idol. Did you hear the Tiny Tim impression, the very strange guy singing Tip Toe through the Tulips?? Ok, here is it!
Stars teaming up to help those in Haiti!
George Clooney will host the event in Los Angeles and many stars have signed on to entertain. Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna are just of few that have signed on so far. It's called Hope for Haiti and it will be broadcast this Friday from 7-9pm. Barefoot Basketball Coach?!
South Dakota State University Basketball Coach Scott Nagy will coach while barefoot this weekend to raise money and awareness for the deadly disaster in Haiti. Nagy's adopted daughter is from Petionville, near the center of where the quake hit. He hasn't been able to contact the girl's birth mother since the disaster. 6-year-old Naika is aware of what happened and he struggles to share more details of the tragedy. "She is very intelligent and bright and doesn't say much but I know it is weighing heavy on her heart", Nagy says. Click here for more details!

This Pre-K student was given an in-school suspension because the length of his hair violated the school's dress code. Ok, if you watch this video...I think you will see how outrageous this is. His hair is not that long and how is that going to effect his learning?? Well, we all can form our own opinion.

A new study says 8:25am. I suppose it depends on the age of your kids and your work schedule. Many Mom's who get the kids up, dressed, fed and off to school probably are about ready to drop at 8:25.....Does that fit you or is yours a different time of the day? I think mine is dinner time....I hope you don't have too much stress in your day! Here are the results from the study!

Boy, the weekend had 3 blow outs and a close game that was lost due to their kicker! Brett was on fire and fun to watch, but I surely was rooting for the Cowboys, who didn't come to play at all. Did you watch any of the games over the weekend?? Sunday will be intense as the Saints take on the Vikes and the Jets take on the Colts....who will win...ok, I will make my picks...Saints by 14 and the Jets by 7!

You all are amazing!
As we in the Coulee Region are asked to help and support those in need, there is no hesitation. Once again you all step up to the plate. Both with the current United Way drive underway, where we do need help to keep those vital programs alive for our friends, neighbors and families...now the tragedy in Haiti, and look at how the Coulee Region and beyond has stepped up to the plate!! $5.2 million donated via texting alone for the American Red Cross! It's $10, simple and will pop up on your next cell phone bill. Think of the same with United Way...that little extra will unite us all!

My daughter Morgan really wants to see it, which surprised me...she is 13...no problem, I enjoy watching some of the award shows. Haiti needs our help too!
Many spent their second night in the streets and today will continue clean up and rescue efforts. Many have lost their lives and if not death, many are seriously injured...the total is in the millions needing medical treatment. With our amazing technology, helping is easy and very convenient...to donate to the American Red Cross just text to 90999 the word "HAITI" and $10.00 will be added to your carriers bill and it will go directly to those in need in Haiti!! As I watched American Idol last night, I made my donation. It was simple and safe.
There is need everywhere as the United Way has vital programs right here that are not making it financially. A little extra will unite us all so please, if you are able to donate, please do here!

Mikeys Mom says that since he was a baby, getting a ticket for a flight has been a hassle. Mikey is 8 today and was first patted down at the age of 2. He has the same name as someone on the "selectee list", not the "no fly list. Read more here!

Simon Cowell and American Idol!
Well, the debut was last night...Boston was the city. 31 contestants moved on to Hollywood. I only saw the last 40 minutes of the 2 hour show. Now tonight, it is on again with more really, really bad auditions and from what I hear a lot of attitude and bad language from some unhappy contestants and some very talented singers will shine! On another subject with Simon, he has been talking with Paula Abdul recently to get her on board with his next endeavor, The X Factor. He misses Paula and will work his magic to get her to sign on!! Haiti needs help!
Haitians were dazed, sitting in the dark in the streets pleading for help as a magnitude 7 earthquake struck their country yesterday. Many trapped in rubble and with destroyed communications it made it impossible to tell the extent of the destruction. 2 million people live in the capitol city. The United States and many other countries are organizing aid efforts. Read more here.

American Idol is back tonight!!
It's back!! American Idol is back on Fox tonight and it will be Simon Cowell's final season!! What do you think of that?? Will you continue to watch the show if Simon is gone?? I will as I like to see that natural talent that is hiding throughout America and those who think they have talent are entertaining to watch as well. I will miss his honesty and controversy, but I think the show will go on!
