A Plastic Whirlpool in the Pacific Ocean!

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is massive and is killing many sea life as the plastic slowly deteriorates and gets mistaken for food. It is hundreds to maybe thousands of miles of open ocean. It is not like a big island of plastic and garbage, as much of it is small, but they will be studying it. Click here for more.

National Night Out tonight!

For the past 12 years, La Crosse neighborhood watch groups have participated in the event, which is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, and strengthen neighborhoods and police-community partnerships. Bill Clinton to the rescue??!! Yikes!

Former President Bill Clinton landed in North Korea early this morning on a mission to negotiate the release of the 2 American Journalists. Ok, somehow I think the arrangement has already been made, that is why he is there, to bring the ladies home...insert your thoughts here!

The Journalists have been imprisoned there since March and were arrested while reporting on the border between North Korea and China and sentenced in June to 12 years in prison on charges of entering the country illegally to conduct a smear campaign. Negotiations have actually been handled through Sweden. Read more here.
