The group Train has their own Wine!

The band started the Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co., named after their 2009 album. Their first bottling was a red named after their hit, "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)". A second wine, Calling All Angels chardonnay, followed and the latest release is California 37 cabernet sauvignon, named after their most recent album! The bottles sell for $9.99 and have made restaurant lists around the country...I have not found it here in our area, but will continue looking! The best part is that a portion of the proceeds from sales goes to support Family House, an organization that provides temporary housing to families of seriousy ill children in San Francisco.

A Motorized Toilet?!

Yea, people have this kind of time on their hands! Wow! Jolene Van Vugt, a stunt woman and motocross champion, set a new world record on a motorized toilet. She hit 75 mph....and you will see a local police officer checking her speed at the end...I got a kick at how she had to 'squat' on the seat to get the speed she needed! May is Lupus Awareness Month!

Now a year ago, I would have not had a clue what Lupus was...now I have to know. I was diagnosed in October with the disease and have learned alot about how devastating it can be. I am lucky as mine is in remission, but 'flares' can happen at any time. In a nutshell, Lupus is an unpredictable and complex autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and can damage any organ in the body with life-threatening consequences. Yikes huh!
