A Cyber Czar?? Yep!

President Obama is talking about hiring a Cyber Czar, a person who will coordinate the nation's efforts to protect government and private computer systems from hackers, criminal gangs, terrorists and spies. In addition, the White House will release a 40-page report that sets broad goals for combating cyber intrusions, but does not spell out in detail how to do so, said the sources, who would not agree to be identified because the report has not been released. Jay Leno is saying "Good bye".

It took a radio disc jockey to remind Jay Leno where he'll stand in "Tonight Show" history when he walks off the stage for the last time Friday. Leno was at the wheel of one of his famous vintage cars when he heard the DJ conduct a pop quiz: Who's the second-longest-running host of "Tonight," after Johnny Carson? "The guy on the radio actually got it before I did," Leno said Thursday, smiling. "It just sort of made me laugh. I went, 'Oh, that's pretty good.'" Maybe even better than good? "I come from 'pretty good,'" replied Leno, unfailingly modest in interviews. "If somebody wants to say even better, that's great." He will have posted an impressive 17 years as "Tonight" host, but well short of Carson's three decades that ended with his retirement in May 1992. Leno debuted as "Tonight" host a few days later. He leaves the show atop the late-night ratings, his run abbreviated by NBC's decision five years ago to create a succession plan that gives "Tonight" to Conan O'Brien. One is a new Disney/Pixar 3D movie for families and the other will give you nightmares!! "UP" opens tonight and looks delightful!! The Threat is real!!

North Korea launched a tirade against world powers who were threatening to punish them for conducting a 2nd nuclear test. They say they are not afraid of the sanctions and are threatening war against South Korea. "Those who provoke (North Korea) once will not be able to escape its unimaginable and merciless punishment," the North's official news agency said. Click here for more details.

Mom agrees to Chemo treatment for son.

They have come back home and mother, Colleen said, "Danny was going to run away, then what do I have?" "I mean he was going to run, and that just broke my heart. I can't have a kid, one of my children, run away from something they should face head on." Doctors say he has a tumor growing in his chest and if he doesn't have treatment he could die. Boy, what a soap opera!! Bob and Sheri talk about them and now, what a ratings boost....the season premiere Monday night brought in over 9.8 million viewers, making it the reality show's most watched episode of all time. Mike Tyson's 4 year old daughter is in critical condition!

Mike's daughter is in critical condition due to a treadmill accident over the weekend. Exodus Tyson was found by her seven-year-old brother on a treadmill "with her neck on ... a cable" attached to the machine, police said in a statement. Let's keep this little girl in our prayers. You will see him on Rachael Ray, he was invited to American Pool Association's Champion Competition in Vegas last month and he is amazing crowds all over the nation!! He started on a small table but now has moved on to the adult size pool table and uses a chair to reach it!! Please pay your respects for those who have lost their lives. This is a federal holiday to remember those who have lost their lives while in military service.

Here in the La Crosse area there are many ceremonies on Monday. Also, the fun weekend Fest is Sunfish Days in Onalaska!! Spend some great family time together with music, carnival rides, a parade at Noon on Saturday and great food too all weekend long!!

Great new movies out this weekend!!

There are some great movies coming out and I can hardly wait to see them!! Terminator - Salvation is one. Christian Bale stars as John Connor, leader of the human resistance against the machines, in the return of the hit sci-fi action franchise.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian is really looking good for families!! Ben Stiller returns as the bewildered night watchman who witnesses exhibits coming alive.

And the other one is just for the older crowd! Dance Flick - looks hysterical! The Wayans family returns with their raunchy brand of spoof comedy, setting out to parody movies like 'Step Up' and 'Save the Last Dance.'

What a night it was!! A shocker for many, not for me. I really thought the tweens would bring Kris to the top! The top 5 are so talented and will have great careers!! Adam will do well no matter what and now Kris will have guidance and also do pretty good.

MN Cancer stricken boy & Mom heading to Mexico?

This story is getting more and more interesting...now sources are saying that Mom, Colleen and her cancer stricken son are heading to Mexico for treatment and the might be traveling with Billy Joe Best. Who is he you're asking? Well, when Billy was 16 he also refused chemo and radiation for his Hodgkin's disease. That was back in 1994. He claims his cancer has been cured by natural remedies. The final performances were last night and tonight is the big 2 hour finale! There will be a lot of entertainment including former "Idol" winner David Cook, the Black Eyed Peas, Queen Latifah, Keith Urban, Lionel Richie, Carlos Santana and Cyndi Lauper.

MN Mother & Son missing!

This is such a sad story of a young boy battling cancer. He was diagnosed in January with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and did have a 1st round of chemotherapy, but his parents did not like the side effects of the treatment and decided to go a different route, a holistic approach that seems to be not working. He and his mother were at a Dr's appointment on Monday when they were told his cancer was worsening and that he should undergo more chemo...now they are both missing and the father does not know where they went. Wow, I am a little worried about this invention...The "Study Ball" supposedly will help your kids study. You can set the timer for up to 4 hours and then it will automatically release. It weighs about 20 lbs and costs over $100. Weird!! Click above for more!

Cars that get 40 mpg and trucks getting 26?!

Monday, July 5, 2010 will be the day that Wisconsin will go smoke free! I am a fan of that, but I am not a smoker. Smoking will be prohibited in most bars, restaurants and other work places starting that Monday! Even Cycling star Lance Armstrong called Doyle's office to congratulate him on the signing!! Weekend Box Office

Angels and Demons took over the Trekkie fans over the weekend with 48 million, but Star Trek did stay strong earning 43 million. 3rd place went to Wolverine, then Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and Obsessed wrapped up the top 5!

No Doubt is back on tour!!

Abortion became the topic at the Commencement Ceremony with President Obama! There were about 300 protesters but most of the student body was supportive of his visit! Obama is asking for common ground for us all when it comes to abortion - better education so less women need to make the decision and less unplanned pregnancies. Click above to read more.

Is this one better than the first?? The follow-up to The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons is out in theaters this weekend and it looks great!! Tom Hanks in a speedo?? I have mixed thoughts there, but should not make an opinion on that until I see it :) Click above for the full review!

NASA vs. Bolt!

One small bolt put the whole NASA team on edge yesterday. One of the senior project scientists said he is 5 years older than he was in the morning after all the stress as the astronauts battled the stuck bolt! Wow, what a surprise!! Danny is heading back to Milwaukee and Chris and Adam will go head to head next week in a 2 night finale with American Idol! It was fun to see all the contestants visits back home and Jordan Sparks was great to see. Katy Perry is just plain weird if you ask me!! Talented and bizarre - she will probably get together with Adam and do some crazy things together.....ya know. Cut from the same cloth I think - both are fabulous entertainers! ASU snubbed the President

He may be the President of the United States, but I guess that doesn't mean you automatically get an honorary degree from ASU. They said he had not built a "body of work" yet. After much public debate, the university backtracked and established a scholarship in his honor. How about taking a walk...in space!! This is pretty cool stuff. Astronauts will begin fixing the Hubble Space Telescope today! They will be replacing the 15 year old camera with one that can see deeper in space and that is about the size of a baby grand piano!! Way cool! Valerie and Marie go at it....why, to lose weight!! Marie Osmond dropped her 46 pounds on Nutri-System, and Valerie Bertinelli lost 49 pounds on Jenny Craig. As far as Bertinelli's concerned, there's no competition when it comes to taste. She is referring to Nutri-System jokingly! Marie on the other hand said, "I didn't want to have to measure everything; I didn't want to go someplace and be weighed in," she said, adding that the plan "was heart healthy, meaning it was low in sodium, and all the things that I had studied and knew nutritionally. Ok, I loved Dannys second song....Chris did a great job as well, but Adam's version of Aerosmith was just ok. I really hope Danny wins this competition....Yes, Adam is the complete package with the vocals and showmanship, but dang Danny's raspy voice drives me nuts - love it!! Who do you predict will go home tonight?? I am going to say.......Chris.....but I love him too!

56 years ago they were switched at the hospital.

They were switched at birth in 1953 in an Oregon hospital and just found out via a DNA test that it is true.....The nurses had taken the babies to be bathed and one mother noticed and mentioned that she was given back the wrong baby. Nothing was done about it and now both sets of parents have passed away, but these women now are in contact and sharing life stories. Click above to read more.

Star Trek was huge this weekend!

What a huge weekend for Star Trek and great reviews as well!! My sister and her boys saw it and loved it....everybody that I have talked with has said they have really enjoyed it.....try not to get the big soda, as if you gotta go, you just might miss something.
